Helen MEISTER
Mrs. Helen Meister, born 1959, daughter of ex Weser pilot Reinhard Meister, completed her education as shipbroker (chartering) in 1982. Afterwards she was employed by Gottfr. Steinmeyer & Co.
Helen Meister manages NBB office since 2006. In 2012 she completed upgrade seminars and became Bachelor Professional of Business (CCI) – (Wirtschaftsfachwirt IHK).
Helen Meister received single procuration for all NBB company, personal and financial affairs in 2011. All crew and personnel matters are dealt with by her.
Capt. Christian GESSERT
Capt. Christian Gessert, born 1955, son of ex Nautical Academy Professor Capt. Ferdinand Gessert, started seagoing career together with Capt. John P. Marcus in 1972 on board SSS “DEUTSCHLAND”.
After completing nautical studies in 1978 he sailed as officer and captain on tankers and bulk carriers before he became captain of passenger ferry “WAPPEN von HAMBURG”. In 2007 Christian joined NBB. He is leading sea trials teams, carries out seamanship training and takes care of education of junior captains and crews.
Since 2012 Christian plans and organises the crew and voyage details for conveyances of river cruise vessels from Rostock via Kiel-Canal, North Sea and IJsselmeer to Rhine River. He also takes care of the authority matters before and during the conveyances.
