Compass Adjustment


Before a ship sails to sea for the first time, and every two years thereafter, the on board magnetic compass must be adjusted for accuracy. This statutory requirement can be carried out by NBB or one of the associated and independent compass adjusters, who are all incorporated members of the "Association of German Compass Adjusters" and recognised by the German Ministry of Shipping and Hydrography (BSH).
